Nestled between Bayou Plaquemine and the Mississippi River the Plaquemine Depot Market – Antiques and Gifts is located in the city’s historical district in the old train depot just off Louisiana Highway 1-S. Built in 1926 under the era of Huey P. Long, the depot was the town’s center of activities. The same is still true today. Through out the year the Merchants of Plaquemine Depot Market hosts several events as well as serving as the centerpiece for events for its community, local clubs as well as non-profit organizations.
Merchants the Plaquemine Depot Market offers its customers a beautiful section of American and European antique furniture, art and collectibles, as well as a lovely selection of French liens and a wide selection of jewelry pieces from antique to reproductions items. We also offer a very large selection of home decorator items,(indoors/outdoors) LSU gifts, ladies’ fashion accessories and custom designed children’s clothing by “Sew Inspired.”
